Principal
Kingswood Elementary School

Dear Kingswood Community,

Welcome back to Kingswood Elementary for a great year of learning for all of our students!  We are pleased to announce that we have spent many hours this summer in preparation.  Our focus has been on preparing to welcome students back into the building to ensure learning continues.  We can’t wait to see our students’ faces again to provide enriching learning opportunities for all students.  We will continue to work on ensuring equity for ALL Kingswood students, continue to provide opportunities for students to further their understanding in the areas of Coding & Robotics, and continue to build academic excellence focusing on collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity tied to the Dysart’s mission and goals.
Our theme this year is KINGSWOOD STRONG. You will be hearing about how you have many opportunities to show us your strengths, here at Kingswood.  You might BE STRONG in the arts, athletics,  academics, or in something altogether different, but we’ll find a way to bring that strength out and celebrate what makes us all #KingswoodStrong!  As the year unfolds, I encourage you to meet your child's teacher and maintain two-way communication.  There will be many opportunities for you to get involved in your child's education this year, whether it's through volunteering, attending a PTSA Family Night, or one of our signature academic showcases.   Another option is through our Site Council; Site Council is an advisory committee to the Principal which supports the needs of all students.  This committee consists of parents, teachers, and administration.  Watch for more information on joining PTSA and Site Council to come home during the first week of school.
As we begin to navigate our current circumstances, I want to remind you safety is our main priority.  We want students to feel encouraged to be risk takers in the classroom and push themselves to meet high expectations set forth by our staff and by you, our parents and community.  We will continue to center everything we do around the Knight's Code and our expectations to Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe and Be a Learner. These expectations are what make up the foundation of our school and what everything we do is based on. Students will be explicitly taught these expectations and asked to meet them on a regular basis with plenty of positive recognition.
At Kingswood, our vision is "Developing Minds...Creating Futures!" and our school motto is "Be better tomorrow than you were today!"  I am looking forward to continuing to build strong and productive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.  This will be vital to promoting another successful year.  Together, we will continue to build an ever-improving culture of academic excellence.  #WeAreKingswood

Sincerely,

Jeremy St.Germain
