Hello Falcon Family!

It is with great pride that I welcome you to Western Peaks K-4 Elementary School! This is my ninth year as the Principal of Western Peaks. I have the honor of leading a  dedicated group of teachers and staff to support our students. As a team, we are motivated to make Western Peaks the school where our young learners will receive outstanding learning opportunities!

As I enter my 27th year in education, I am thankful and blessed to be part of the Western Peaks Falcon Family! In my educational career, I have served as a second grade, third grade, and fifth grade teacher. As well, I have served as a Reading Coach, Instructional Coach, and as an Assistant Principal. This is my 16th year in the Dysart Unified School District.

I am an Arizona native and graduated from Bradshaw Mountain High School. I received my bachelors and masters degrees from Northern Arizona University. I live in Surprise with my husband, youngest son, and my three Boston Terriers. My youngest son is a senior at Willow Canyon. My oldest son is grown and on his own creating an extraordinary life as a young adult.

Please feel free to contact me at any time. I believe that it takes a partnership and teamwork to help each child achieve his or her full potential. Let’s make this an extraordinary year.

A Message from the Assistant Principal

Hello Western Peaks Families,

I am so excited for another great school year with my Falcon Family!  This will be my 17th year in education.  I have had the privilege of teaching in the Dysart School District for the past 9  years. I taught one year at Mountain View Elementary and eight years at Western Peaks Elementary School.  During my teaching career I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade and 5th grade.  This will be my first year as an Assistant Principal and I’m thankful for the opportunity to learn a new role as an administrator.  I am an Arizona native and graduated from Ironwood High School in Glendale.  I got my bachelors degree from Utah Valley University and my masters degree from William Woods University.  I live here in Surprise with my 4 daughters.

I am truly excited to continue to work with such dedicated and knowledgeable staff members, students who are enthusiastic about learning and parents who are involved and supportive. I believe that together we can accomplish great things.  Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.  Let’s make this the best year yet!
