There will be no school on October 12th-16th for Fall Break. The office will be closed during this time and will reopen when school resumes on Monday, October 19th. Enjoy your time with friends and family! 

Family conferences will be held October 5th-9th. Please sign up for a time to meet on ParentSquare. If you have questions or need assistance, please call 623-876-7100. Also, students will be released at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 8th and Friday October 9th.

DMS students will utilize a Bus Pass ID for the 2026-2027 school year. These cards will need to be scanned each time when students enter and exit the bus. If you have not already downloaded the My Ride K-12 app, please do so as soon as possible. This app will allow you to see your child’s bus information, bus stop, and pick-up and drop off times. You will also be able to set up transportation notification preferences through the app to know when your child gets on and off the bus and provide automated updates on arrival times. 

Please note, if a student loses their Bus Pass ID card, a replacement will be issued. Excessive losses could result in a fee. An account can also be set up in a web browser by visiting myridek12.tylerapp.com.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be open October 5th-9th. Students can shop during lunch or after school during Parent Teacher Conferences. Families can view our Book Fair Website to set up an e-Wallet and preview books!

The Dysart Unified School District Governing Board has placed Proposition 421 on the November 3, 2026 ballot to maintain safe, functional learning environments, and support continued growth. The estimated tax impact to the community is $3 per month, or $36 per year.* 

If approved, here are a few of the ways our schools and community needs will be supported:

*Based on an estimated $0.17 tax rate on an average assessed home value of $215,435. Assessed value is determined by the Maricopa County Assessor's Office to calculate property taxes, and is not the same as the market value that a home would sell for. Tax rates are an estimate and are influenced by a variety of factors including Maricopa County assessed valuation fluctuations.

Dysart Middle School, including the office will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.  This national holiday honors the hard work, dedication, and contributions of all workers. We also want to take a moment to thank our wonderful teachers, staff, and school community members whose daily efforts help our students succeed.

School will resume on Tuesday, September 8th in which the gates will open at 7:55am. 

Baseball and Softball Conditioning starts Tuesday, August 25th! Conditioning will take place Tuesday-Friday from 3:10pm-4:30pm for baseball (meet in the cafeteria). Softball will be from 4:00pm-5:30 pm with students meeting at the gym. Due to the heat, conditioning will take place inside and minimal time will be spent outside. Tryouts are officially September 1st-3rd, with the team being announced on September 4th. Please be sure to sign up on Aktivake if you plan on trying out for either of the teams. If you make the team, please be prepared to pay the $60 pay to play fee.

We will be offering early Chromebook checkout on Tuesday, July 28th from 9:00am-1:00pm and Wednesday, July 29th from 11:00am - 3:00pm. Please bring $25 for the Chromebook device protection. We accept exact cash or check. 

If you are not able to make these dates, you will be able to checkout a Chromebook during our Meet the Teacher event on August 4th. Don't forget to update student update online via the Parent Portal (www.dysart.org/parentportal).  

*Please note that if there is an outstanding balance on the student's account due to a missing charger or missing Chromebook, new replacement technology will not be issued until the missing item is returned or the charge is paid.

Meet the Teacher Night is on August 4th from 5:00pm-6:30pm. Students and their Families will be able to get schedules, see classrooms, and meet teachers and staff. You will also be able to checkout your Chromebook for the school year. Please bring $25 for the device protection. We accept exact cash, or checks.

The 2026–2027 school calendar is now available! We encourage all families to review the calendar carefully and use it when planning vacations and other family events. 

Regular school attendance is essential for student success. Being at school every day helps students stay engaged in learning, build strong relationships, and avoid missing valuable classroom instruction.

Beginning July 8th our office will reopen for the 2026-2027 school year! The office is open from 7:15am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday and will be closed on Friday July 10th & July 17th.

Dysart Unified School District is accepting new PreK-12 student enrollment applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Parents and guardians can complete the necessary registration information online at Dysart.org/enroll at any time. Within the enrollment application, parents are able to select their home school, or request their child attend another school outside of their boundary school, including Freedom Traditional Academy, through Open Enrollment. Preschool enrollment options are also available on the main enrollment link above, as well as at GrowingMindsPreschool.org. Learn more at Dysart.org/Preschool.

For in-person enrollment assistance between June 8th and July 1st, families may visit the District Office Monday through Thursday at 15802 N. Parkview Place in Surprise, Arizona from 8am-4:30pm.  All K-12 school offices will reopen for in person enrollment on Wednesday, July 8.

Please note that in order to finalize registration the following documents will be required: government issued photo identification; birth certificate; proof of residency; and immunization records. To keep up with their child’s academic progress, parents are encouraged to sign up for the Parent Portal at Dysart.org/parentportal or via the Campus Parent app, available as early as 24 hours after registration is finalized. To find out if your child is eligible for transportation, visit Dysart.org/Transportation.

Families, please don't forget to make transportation arrangements to have your student picked up on time.
