Luke Choir to perform at Governing Board Meeting
Luke Elementary Choir will perform at the Dysart Unified School District Governing Board Meeting on November 16! Our talented Jets will have the opportunity to showcase their musical skills and represent the Luke Elementary community through the joy of song.
We are so proud of our choir students and their dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm. Join us in celebrating these amazing students as they share their talents and represent the Luke Jets!

National School Psychologist Week Nov. 2–6
Recognizing school psychologists for their role in supporting student learning, mental health, growth, and overall well-being across our school community.

National School Bus Safety Week Oct. 19–23.
Promoting safe, responsible transportation and thanking our drivers, staff, and families for helping ensure student safety each day

If approved, it Proposition 421 fund:
• New air conditioning systems to ensure a safe environment, and uninterrupted learning for students
• New fire panels to improve safety at all schools
• Construction of a new elementary school to address the rapid growth in the northwest part of our district.
• Land for a high school to ensure the district is prepared for future growth
• Renovation of aging facilities, to include construction of public restrooms for athletic facilities at our high schools, renovation of the aging auditorium at Dysart High School, the district’s original high school.

October is National Principal Appreciation Month!
Thank you, Mrs. Mattingly, for all that you do for our students, staff, and Luke Elementary community. Your positive attitude, willingness to listen, and ability to find solutions—even when things get challenging—make such a difference every day. Your support and encouragement help our staff feel valued and our students feel cared for. We are so grateful for the way you stepped in to lead with kindness, positivity, and a genuine commitment to making Luke the best it can be. Thank you for everything you do for our Luke Jets!

Voter Registration Deadline

Fire Prevention Week Oct. 4–10, 2026
Fire Prevention helps promote fire safety awareness and prevention. Practice safety at home and school, and be prepared in case of emergencies.

Parent- Teacher Conference Week Oct 5-9
Parent-Teacher Conference Week is October 5–9. Look out for communication form your child's teacher to schedule a conference time.
Please note the early dismissal on Thursday, October 8, and Friday, October 9.
School will dismiss at 1:45 PM on both days. Thank you for partnering with us to support our students!

Information about Prop 421
The Dysart Unified School District Governing Board has placed Proposition 421 on the November 3, 2026 ballot to maintain safe, functional learning environments, and support continued growth. The estimated tax impact to the community is $3 per month, or $36 per year.*
If approved, here are a few of the ways our schools and community needs will be supported:
- Replacement of aging air conditioning systems and fire panels
- Renovation of aging facilities
- Construction of a new elementary school
- Land for a high school

*Based on an estimated $0.17 tax rate on an average assessed home value of $215,435. Assessed value is determined by the Maricopa County Assessor's Office to calculate property taxes, and is not the same as the market value that a home would sell for. Tax rates are an estimate and are influenced by a variety of factors including Maricopa County assessed valuation fluctuations.
