We hope you have a fantastic week off, with no school from October 12th to 18th. The school office will be closed and will reopen on Monday, October 19th. See you all back then!

On Thursday, September 17, 2026,  Valley Vista recognizes Constitution Day, a national observance marking the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787.

Come out and support your Monsoon as we kick off the season in our opening game against Desert Vista on Friday, September 18th! Kickoff is at 7:00 PM.

Fans: Please park off Reems and Tierra Buena. Entrance is next to the tennis courts. 

No public parking allowed on Greenway. 

Stadium Access: 

Home fans enter from Tierra Buena (bus loop, next to tennis courts). 

Visitors enter from their designated side and access the sideline from behind their bleachers.

Today we pause to remember and honor the victims, heroic first responders, and all those impacted by the events of September 11, 2001. Flags across campus will fly at half-staff. May we always remember and honor their strength through acts of unity and service in our community.

The Dysart Unified School District Governing Board has placed Proposition 421 on the November 3, 2026 ballot to maintain safe, functional learning environments, and support continued growth. The estimated tax impact to the community is $3 per month, or $36 per year.*

From September 13–19, we’re proud to join schools across the country in celebrating National Arts in Education Week!

The arts—whether visual arts, music, theater, dance, or media—are far more than just extracurriculars. They build creative problem-solving, build confidence, and help our students connect with the world in meaningful ways.

No School – Labor Day 

School and offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend! Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 8.

Afterschool Tutoring Starts August 25, 2026

VVHS offers after school tutoring on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30pm - 4:15pm.  Transportation is available for students who attend tutoring.  Students will receive a RED tutoring pass from security in the cafeteria after tutoring is completed and will need to show their student ID to ride the bus.  Please note, any student can ask their teacher for help regardless of tutoring schedule.

Don't Forget! Complete Your Annual Student Update

It's time to complete your 2026–27 Annual Student Update! All parents and guardians are asked to log into the Parent Portal and submit their updates by August 31, 2026 to help us prepare for a successful school year. 

Be sure to review and update:   

• Student and household information  
• Emergency contacts   
• Medical information    
• Electronic Use/Student Handbook Agreement

Students will not be able to access district platforms such as email, Schoology, or Infinite Campus until the Electronic Use/Student  Handbook Agreement has been completed. School staff cannot administer medication without current medical information on file.

Picture Day takes place throughout the day on August 18th for all students.  ID's will be given to students immediately.

GRADS SENIOR PICTURES  

All seniors are required to schedule an appointment with GRADS Photography for their official senior yearbook picture. Senior portraits must be taken by November 3, 2026, at GRADS Photography. There is no charge for the standard yearbook photo.  

Attention Parents/Guardians:  If your student does not have their senior picture taken by the November 3 deadline, they will not be included in the 2026–2027 yearbook or the graduation slideshow shown during the commencement ceremony.
