Music Program

Hello parents, students, and friends of Luke Elementary. My name is Eric Bonds and I am the music teacher. This will be my first year at Luke, while being my eighteenth year of teaching. I am excited to be joining a school that has developed a strong reputation for student success. While there are many advantages of music instruction, students at Luke will develop a keen focus on success through hard work and lots of fun. This will lead students to enjoy all that music has to offer. In addition, there will be many opportunities for our students to perform and share their success with the community at large. I am excited for a fun-filled year with our young scholars as they develop strong academic and performance skills.

Art Program

My name is Megan Collins and I am the art teacher at Luke. This will be my ninth year as an educator. I received my Master in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University in 2017. I was a general education teacher before becoming an art teacher. I love to travel and be outdoors. In my classroom students will learn to think creatively and become problem solvers. We will use a variety of mediums, art history and critique to grow as students of the arts.

Band Program

I am Mrs. Hofeling, the band director at Luke! This will be my second year at Luke and my third year as a band teacher. I received my Bachelor's in Music Education from Brigham Young University in 2019. My primary instrument is the clarinet. In band, students will learn how to play an instrument, how to read music, and how to play in an ensemble setting. Band students will have several concerts and performance opportunities throughout the year. I believe that band is such an enriching class as it allows students to be creative, work hard, and connect with others through music
