Sundown Mountain Alternative Education Program is a credit recovery high school that services primarily 11th and 12th graders in the Dysart Unified School District. Opened in 2004, our vision is to empower every student by providing tools and opportunities for life-long success. We support students from all four high schools within the district and help them achieve their goal of graduating high school. Sundown Mountain follows a block schedule- allowing a student to take less classes at the same time and earn credits at a faster pace. .

We are currently located in the El Mirage community adjacent to El Mirage Elementary and across from Bill Gentry Park.
