OVERVIEW
Art is a class at Thompson Ranch. We will also be running Art classes after school by our Art teacher.
At the end of every year, we will have a Showcase night where students show off their work for the community. Art is not an exception. Come see all students work near the end of the year for all classes including Art.
PROGRAMS OFFERED
General Music
Our general music curriculum is designed to develop a greater understanding and love of music through singing, reading, playing instruments, moving, listening, analyzing, and composing, helping to support the academic success and development of the whole child.
Band
Band is designed for students who are interested in learning an instrument. The primary focus of this class is on basic instrumental skill development, musicianship and music reading.
Art
Students will explore the artistic processes by creating, presenting, responding, and connecting through visual arts. This will include age-appropriate instruction in painting, drawing, clay, and various media. Students will develop new skills through engaging, hands-on experiences in the arts. Students will have the opportunity to learn about various artists, genres, and mediums.
