OVERVIEW
Sundown Mountain Alternative Education Program is a credit recovery high school that services primarily 11th and 12th graders in the Dysart Unified School District. Opened in 2004, our vision is to empower every student by providing tools and opportunities for life-long success. We support students from all four high schools within the district and help them achieve their goal of graduating high school. Sundown Mountain follows a block schedule- allowing a student to take less classes at the same time and earn credits at a faster pace.

Our school uses ParentSquare to connect with parents and share what’s happening in our schools and district. This platform allows us to communicate school and district messages to help keep you informed and engaged with us. The Parent Portal will continue to be your resource for grades, and Schoology for specific classroom resources and assignments.

Our son was struggling and we had two options: in person with extra on-line classes or Sundown. Our last choice turned into the best! To say that we are grateful would be an understatement.
