AVID Club
The AVID Club is for students in the AVID program who want an opportunity to gain extra leadership skills, and help make decisions for the entire AVID program. At meetings we talk about ways to improve the program as a whole with the voice of each grade level. The AVID club also facilitates fundraisers, and is a group used for recruiting at the elementary and middle schools.

Band Club
For students who are unable to fit the marching band class into their schedule, they are able to be a part of the after school rehearsals. Being a part of band club requires students to prepare their music/drill more independently, as we don't see those students during the school day, but these students get to be a part of all training, competition, travel, and community events that class members are. This is great for students with a full schedule due to wanting to earn CTE Credits, retake classes, or other scheduling conflicts. Students who are only in the band club (not signed up for the class) do not receive a PE credit and will need to supplement that in order to graduate. A fee applies and is paid through the bookstore.

Best Buddies Club
Best Buddies Club fosters one-to-one friendships between high school students with and without IDD (intellectual or developmental disability). In this time of heightened social and emotional development that can be difficult, even for teenagers without IDD, the Best Buddies High Schools program helps break through social barriers at an important time in a young person’s life. Any person on campus without IDD who is in good standing within the school district can join the Best Buddies Club! We hold a match party to match IDD students with non-IDD students, typically we have a movie night, bowling, prom, and we try to hold an outdoor event at the park.

CTSO/Film & TV
The TV & Film Club is responsible for announcements, live streaming events, and creating video content for our school. As a CTE class, there are many opportunities that come from being a part of this program, such as membership in a student-led organization, work-based learning opportunities, and possible internships. Our student-led organization allows students to take the technical and professional skills that they have obtained while being a part of the program and compete in leadership events at the state and national level. Another aspect of our TV & Film program is our Dysart Student Broadcasting (DSB), which is the work based learning opportunity students get by live streaming events on our campus.

They have presented colors at Major League Baseball spring training games, arena football games, and a number of high profile events throughout the Valley. We also have a Raiders team that travels throughout Arizona, competing in physical training events, obstacles, and rope bridges. The Demon Battalion Marksmanship Team competes in marksmanship events and is also an AIA-sanctioned team. Our cadets learn leadership, citizenship, along with other courses three times a week. The other two days consist of drill, the backbone of discipline, and physical training, which helps prompt teamwork.

Stuco
The DHS Student Council is filled with motivated, model students whose collective goal is to help provide the perfect high school experience for the entire student body. By working in several committees throughout the year, council members have multiple opportunities to gather ideas from the campus for planning events and improving school life. The Student Council organizes and hosts spirit assemblies, dances, movie nights, pep rallies, Trunk-or-Treat, and other fundraisers. Students also work with their class clubs (which are open to all students within the grade level) to plan additional events, such as staff vs. student games and prom. All members of the council are elected into their positions at the end of each school year after going through a rigorous interview and election process. If anyone has questions about events or suggestions on bettering campus life, please reach out to these elected members or the advisor.
