Laboratory Assisting

Lab Assisting students will explore different careers in the healthcare field as well as understand expectations in the medical profession with basic comprehension of anatomy and physiology, careers and job techniques. Laboratory Assisting is designed to provide sustained knowledge and experiences in laboratory biological safety measures, medical terminology, maintaining standards in the laboratory, aseptic technique in laboratory, phlebotomy procedures, specimen collection, patient care, mediation, waived testing procedures, professional ethics in the workplace, proper laboratory documentation and laboratory careers exploration while deepening the knowledge and provide extensive experiences in a medical laboratory setting.
