DHS Softball Awarded Grant from the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation

Dysart High School's softball team has been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation to purchase new training equipment for the team. Coach Samarripas applied for the grant to support the school's efforts to rebuild a softball program. Dysart was chosen to receive this grant to make a difference for the players that want to play, learn, and make the school and community proud.

The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation is devoted to youth sports and is committed to helping grow baseball and softball leagues in Arizona. During the 2024 season, the D-backs Give Back Play Ball Fund will support the outstanding efforts of Arizona's dedicated parents, mentors and coaches to expand the game of baseball and softball by donating $60,000 to youth sports leagues. Any Arizona youth team, league, or organization can apply for up to $1,000 to support player equipment, training for youth players or coaches, assistance with player fees or facility improvement upgrades.
