Attendance

Students are expected to be in school everyday, unless they are sick. School is open at 8:40 a.m. for our students to eat breakfast in the classroom, and get extra support from teachers to increase their reading skills. School starts at 9:00 a.m. and students should be in their seats by then, ready to learn. There is too much at stake for students to be tardy or missing a lot of days of school. We are committed to helping them improve their academic skills. If they are not in school, they are missing important instruction. Please help us increase student success by bringing your child to school on time, everyday.

Per Arizona School Attendance Law students are allowed 18 days of absence, excused or unexcused. They are only allowed 5 days of unexcused absences before the parent or student is cited by the truancy officer. Please make sure all appointments are made after school hours if possible.

This year per policy, students will not be called out of class after 3:30 p.m. (Tuesday—Fridays) and 1:30 p.m. (Mondays).

If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Garcia at 623-876-7213.
