School Leadership

Jessica Felix
Joseph Martinez

Jessica Felix, Principal, and Joseph Martinez, Assistant Principal, are excited for the 2023-2024 school year.  Both Mrs. Felix and Mr. Martinez have a passion for educating and developing the children at Marley Park. They strive to build excellence for all through Academics, Athletics, and the Arts.  At the start of each school day, Mrs. Felix and Mr. Martinez love to welcome students to campus and wave to families.  You can usually find Mrs. Felix and Mr. Martinez spending time in classrooms watching the Mavericks tackle new concepts and master new skills.  They also spend time in the Cafeteria and at Recess where Marley Park students build lasting relationships with peers and staff.  After school, they work together with families and teachers to support one another, cheer on the Maverick sports teams or watch a fine art performance.  Mrs. Felix and Mr. Martinez truly believe in each and every student at Marley Park and love to celebrate them!  Whether it's through a positive call home, sending postcards home to students, giving high-fives and a friendly smile, or school-wide celebrations- our Mavericks are amazing and we celebrate them!

Maverick Families~

Welcome back, we are excited for the upcoming school year! It is going to be an amazing 2024-2025.  As we embark on a new school year, I am looking forward to meeting each and every new family this year as well as reconnecting with our current families.  Our teachers and staff are ready to welcome families back, and to celebrate all the fantastic things that will happen at Marley Park this year!

As I begin the year as the Principal of Marley Park, I am grateful to be a part of the Marley Park community.  This will be my 19th year in education, where I have served as a 3rd and 4th-grade teacher, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal.  It will be my seventh year in the Dysart Unified School District as the Principal of Marley Park.

I am an Arizona native and was born and raised in Sedona, Arizona.  After graduating from Northern Arizona University with my bachelor's in Elementary Education, I moved to the Valley of the Sun for job opportunities.  I then obtained my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Principal Certificate from Northern Arizona University. My husband and I have lived in Surprise for the past 19 years and love spending time with our two boys, attending sporting events, traveling, and swimming.

I am looking forward to all the great things that will be happening at Marley Park this year! Each day is a new opportunity, set goals, make memories, and make the most of each experience!

Mrs. Jessica Felix
