Dysart Cheer Teams Sweep Top Spots

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — 2/3/2022

Three Dysart Unified School District schools swept the top three spots to qualify for the state championships in the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) Spirit Line State Qualifier on Saturday, January 29, 2022. In the Coed Cheer Division 1/2, Willow Canyon High School placed first, Shadow Ridge High School second, and Valley Vista High School third. Additionally, Shadow Ridge placed first in Partner Stunt.

Specialty awards were also given to Willow Canyon for Synchronized Tumbling, Dynamic Dance, Solid Stunt Sequence, and Creative Pyramid Transitions. All three schools will compete in the state finals on March 12, 2022.
