Dysart Schools Receive Workplace Health Awards
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — 2/7/2022
The Dysart Unified School District was recently recognized by the American Heart Association and the Wellness Council of Arizona for efforts in workplace and employee health and wellness. Dysart received the Gold Level Workplace Health Achievement Index Recognition on December 2, 2021 from the American Heart Association and the Official Gold Seal of Good Health Keeping Renewal Award from the Wellness Council of Arizona on December 16, 2021.
The American Heart Association has defined best practices for employers to use to build a culture of health for their employees in the workplace. The American Heart Association’s Workplace Health Achievement Index measures the extent to which the company has implemented those workplace health best practices. Companies recognized at the Gold level have achieved an Index score of 175 - 217 out of a maximum 217 points.
Dysart was presented with the Wellness Council of Arizona’s Official Gold Seal of Good Health Keeping Renewal Award at the 35th annual meeting on December 16, 2021. The renewal shows Dysart School’s continued focus on employee health through an established relationship between the wellness program and health plan engagement with built-in components such as incentives for annual exams, blood work, and screenings among other things.
Dysart’s Benefits and Wellness Manager, Janis Peel, received the awards on behalf of the district and the Governing Board recognized the district for these achievements at their January 26 meeting.
