Dysart Board Accepts the Resignation of Dr. Quinn Kellis
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — 5/12/2022
On May 11, 2022, the Dysart Unified School District Governing Board voted to accept the voluntary resignation of Superintendent Quinn Kellis, which will become effective June 30, 2022. The Board and Dr. Kellis also entered into a Resignation Agreement and Release, whereby Dr. Kellis will receive a lump sum severance payment for the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
Dr. Kellis has served as Superintendent of the District since July 1, 2018, and had one year left on his current contract of employment. Effective immediately, Dr. Kellis will work remotely on assigned special projects until the effective date of his resignation.
The Board has appointed Dr. Jim Dean to serve as Acting Superintendent. Dr. Dean is currently the Assistant Superintendent for Support Services of the District and has worked in various leadership roles in the District since 2005. The Board will meet in the near future to determine its next steps to permanently fill the superintendent position.
