Dysart Schools Open for Student Registration
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — 7/9/2019
As summer is starting to wind down, Dysart would like to remind our community that our schools are now open for student registration. Families are welcome to visit the school offices for assistance with registration, open enrollment, and other services.
Summer is a great time for our students and staff to connect with family and friends and to take a break, but for Dysart schools it is also a time that we use for training, reviewing procedures, and working on projects and improvement of facilities. All of this is to prepare for the exciting year ahead, as school starts on August 6 for the 2019-2020 school year.
Dysart Unified School District has 25 schools - 20 K-8 elementary schools, four high schools, an alternative school, and preschool program options. There are several exciting new additions to Dysart this year - a new Growing Minds Preschool and two new elementary schools - Asante Preparatory Academy and Freedom Traditional Academy. Also new this year, every school is developing a Signature Program with community input. More details about these new programs will be unveiled in August.
Dysart serves over 24,000 students with a variety of Pre-K through high school offerings. The District has extensive opportunities to meet each and every student’s needs and interests. There are Career and Technical Education programs, Special Education and student support services, arts, athletics, extracurricular activities, and more.
Parents interested in enrolling in a school outside of their boundary school, or at the new Freedom Traditional Academy, are invited to complete an open enrollment application at www.dysart.org/oe. Open enrollment gives students an opportunity to apply to attend any one of our schools, regardless of where they live.
Continuing Dysart students are automatically re-enrolled each year. New students can register online at www.dysart.org/registration, or visit the school of their choice. Dysart looks forward to providing each student with an extraordinary school experience in the 2019-2020 school year.
