Dysart Foundation Awards 20-21 Scholarships

The Dysart Education Foundation announced 2020-2021 scholarship awards for Dysart Unified School District students. A total of $62,500 was awarded to fifteen students out of seventy-five applications. The winners of each scholarship are listed below along with their generous donors.
Dysart Education Foundation Scholarship Awards - $6,000 (renewable four years, $750/semester)
- Kelly Munoz, Dysart High School
- Ethan Berger, Shadow Ridge High School
- Calvin Henggeler, Willow Canyon High School
- Sawyer Boehlert, Valley Vista High School
Grand Opportunity Scholarship - $5,000 (two-year scholarship, $1,250/semester)
- A private donation to support Dysart graduates
- Kathleen Swenson, Valley Vista High School
Dr. Gail Pletnick Education Award - $3,000 (two-year scholarship, $750/semester)
- A scholarship opportunity made possible by a donation from Dr. Gail Pletnick
- Grace Macior, Shadow Ridge High School
Southwest Foodservice Excellence Scholarship - $2,000 (one-year scholarship, $1,000/semester)
- A scholarship opportunity made possible by a donation from Southwest Foodservice Excellence
- Lorraine Olson, Valley Vista High School
CORE Scholarship - $2,000 (one-year scholarship, $1,000/semester)
- A scholarship opportunity made possible by a donation from CORE Construction
- Aaliyah Esquivel, Willow Canyon High School
McCarthy Scholarship - $2,000 (one-year scholarship, $1,000/semester)
- A scholarship opportunity made possible by a donation from McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.
- Abigail Brown, Shadow Ridge High School
Richard and Elsie Valentine Memorial Scholarship - $1,500 (one-year scholarship, $750/semester)
- A scholarship opportunity in memory of Richard and Elsie Valentine, who demonstrated what can be achieved in life through education and hard work.
- Austin Adelman, Valley Vista High School
Sun City Concert Band Society, Inc. Music Scholarship - $3,000 (two-year scholarship, $750/semester)
- Music scholarship opportunity made possible by a donation from the Sun City Concert Band Society, Inc.
- Rachael Geiger, Dysart High School
Dysart HS Alumni Scholarship - $5,000 (two-year scholarship, $1,250/semester)
- A scholarship opportunity made possible by donations from Dysart High School Alumni.
