Dysart Awarded for 25 Years of Excellence in Financial Reporting

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — 10/6/2020

The Dysart Unified School District has received the Certificate of Excellence (COE) in Financial Reporting by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). The certificate was earned for the district’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year 2019 and recognizes that Dysart has met high standards for financial reporting and transparency.

“The COE’s mission is to promote and recognize excellence in financial reporting, specifically through a district’s CAFR,” ASBO International Executive Director David Lewis said. “The CAFR informs stakeholders about the financial and economic state of the district, making it an important communications tool for building trust and engaging with the school community.”

By participating in the COE program, school districts demonstrate their commitment to financial transparency. This award represents the 25th consecutive year that Dysart has received this valuable recognition.

“Dysart Unified School District values our community and the trust they place in us to not only educate students, but to be good stewards of our taxpayer funds. We are honored to receive this award, and strive to continue our focus on financial transparency and fiscal responsibility,” said Superintendent Dr. Quinn Kellis.

The award will be presented to the Dysart Unified School District Governing Board at the October 28 board meeting.  Dysart budget and financial reports may be viewed at Dysart.org/Budget.
