Letter From the Principal

Hello Rattler Families.

Welcome back for another fantastic school year at Rancho Gabriela Elementary School. This is my third year serving as the Principal of Rancho Gabriela and I am excited to continue our journey of academic growth and success with the entire school community. It is my honor to lead a school with such incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive school community.

Dysart Unified School District has been my home for more than 21 years. I have beeen in school leadership for 9 years. Prior to leadership, I served as a School Improvement Data Specialist, Reading Interventionist, Second Grade Teacher and Kindergarten Teacher.

I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree and I hold a two Masters degrees, one in Elementary Education and the other in Educational Leadership. I also achieved National Board Certification in Literacy. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and step children. We enjoy traveling, golfing, hiking, and hosting family dinners and game nights.

One of the most important aspects of my work involves building strong relationships with students, teachers and families. It is my deep honor to lead our school family, and I am committed to working collaboratively with our staff, families and community to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. I look forward to working with you and your child as we start this new and exciting year together!

Letter from the Assistant Principal

I am so honored and excited to continue to be a part of the Rattlers family as your Assistant Principal!  I am eager to work with our students and families this year. I have been a Dysart community member and parent of 3 young children in the district since moving from Illinois in 2014.  As a 20 year educator, I have been allowed so many wonderful opportunities as a Teacher, Behavior Interventionist,  and Assistant Principal.

I look forward to our collaboration to help and support each of our students to learn and grow this year.  I believe in the teaching of the whole child, supporting their academic and social growth and allowing them to create, explore and flourish as individuals.

Our partnership is critical. Please do not hesitate to reach out via email or 623-523-8500.  Thank you for your support.
