Title I at Surprise Elementary

At Surprise Elementary, we believe every CUB deserves the opportunity, resources, and support needed to succeed.

As a Title I school, we receive additional federal funding to strengthen academic achievement and provide learning opportunities for our students.

 What is Title I?

Title I is a K–12 program that provides additional academic support to schools serving higher percentages of students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals.

The goal of Title I is to help ensure all students have the opportunity to meet or exceed state academic standards.

How Title I Supports Our CUBS

Title I resources help Surprise Elementary:

Increase academic achievement by providing additional resources and targeted learning opportunities.

Provide direct instructional support to students who may need additional time, instruction, intervention, or practice.

Invest in our teachers through professional learning and resources that strengthen high-quality classroom instruction.

Promote family education and engagement by creating opportunities for families to understand, participate in, and support their child's learning.

Families Are Essential Partners

Family engagement is an important part of our Title I program. Throughout the year, families will have opportunities to learn more about our academic goals, participate in school events, provide feedback, and discover ways to support learning at home.

Together, our students, staff, and families are Setting the Gold Standard for learning at Surprise Elementary. By working together, we can ensure every CUB has the support and opportunities needed for success!
