2nd Grade Experimenting Matter

2nd grade is learning about the three states of matter. They did an experiment where they saw what happened to gas when it was in a cup versus what happens when it is in a closed bag. They learned that gas wants to expand as far as it can. When the gas was in the cup, it could leave and go into the air in the classroom but when it is in a bag, the bag expands because of the gas inside.
