Speech & Debate Wins at ASU

This past weekend, the Speech and Debate team competed at the Arizona Speech and Debate Coaches Association Winter Trophy at ASU. Fatima & Laila Jama, Erin Ashby, Symphanee Brinson Whetstone, and Gabe Carver all competed in Lincoln Douglas Debate on Friday.

While everyone also competed in various speech events, Laila Jama and Gabe Carver broke to elimination rounds in Original Spoken Word Poetry, with Laila winning 2nd and Gabe winning 10th overall.
