Parent Survey
It’s Time to Complete the Annual Parent Survey!
Please remember to complete our annual Parent Survey if you haven’t already done so. We want to know what our district and school are doing well and how we can improve in the future. It should take about 5 minutes to complete and will be open through Sunday, February 15. Find it in English at www.dysart.org/survey and in Spanish at www.dysart.org/encuesta
All students dismissed at 1:45pm Feb 5-6 for Parent/Teacher conferences
All students will release early from school on Thursday, February 5th and Friday, February 6th for parent/teacher conferences. Please make arrangements to pick your student up early.
Parent/Teacher Conferences Monday, February 2nd - Friday, February 6th
Parents we will be having parent/teacher conferences February 2nd through February 6th. This is a time for you to meet with your students teacher and discuss your students academic growth, testing, etc.

Christmas at the Ranch! Everyone is welcome!
Friday, December 12th, 2025, 5:30pm to 7:00pm, this is a free event for everyone!
There will be hot chocolate, cookies, ornament making, Santa, and a concert for all!
Students must be accompanied by a parent to attend.
Winter sports season; flag football, girls volleyball, and cheer is upon us!
Winter sports season begins the week December 15th, 2025, for flag football, girls volleyball, and cheer! Check the Dysart.org website, athletics for the game schedule.
Holiday Break, No School!
There will be no school Monday, December 22nd, 2025 through Monday, January 5th, 2026. Students will return to school on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026!
Early release, Friday, December 19th, 2025, at 12:00pm for all students
All Thompson Ranch student will release at 12:00pm. Please make arrangement to have students picked up from school early.
Future Freshman Night at all Dysart Unified High Schools, November 6th, 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Students entering high school in the 2026-2027 academic year, and their parents, are invited to attend an incoming freshman meeting on Thursday, November 6 from 5:30-7:30 PM to learn about high school expectations, unique programs, and the process for registration and class selection. These meetings are designed to provide incoming freshmen with an overview of the academic programs available at Dysart Unified School District’s four high schools and explain the process of registering for ninth-grade classes.
Future Freshman Night will take place at the following schools at 5:30pm on Thursday, November 6
~Dysart High School - 11425 N. Dysart Road, El Mirage
~Shadow Ridge High School - 10909 N. Perryville Road, Surprise
~Valley Vista High School - 15550 N. Parkview Place, Surprise
~Willow Canyon High School - 17901 W. Lundberg Street, Surprise
Students and parents will learn about high school classes, course selection, unique and career-related programs, core curriculum, and graduation requirements.
Attending Future Freshman Night motivates eighth graders to remain focused on their true academic goal – completing high school and beyond.
Dysart offers four “A” rated high schools to the community.

Fall Picture Retakes
Fall Picture Retakes are Wednesday, October 29th, 2025. This picture day will be for students that did not already have their picture done this school year, retakes, and new students. Pictures can be purchased at Gradsphotos.com.

The Dysart Override Continuation and Bond initiatives focus on academic success, safety, and program offerings for students. If approved, here are a few of the ways students will be supported:
- 150 additional teachers to maintain class sizes
- Increased measures to keep students safe
- Updated AC systems to ensure a safe learning environment
- Full day Kindergarten to ensure a strong foundation
- Safe transportation to and from school
- Arts, physical education, and athletic programs
If the 2025 Override Continuation & Bond pass, homeowners would simply continue to support student needs.

Fall Break, No School October 13th to October 17th
Fall Break will be the week of October 13th to October 17th, there will be no school. We wish our Thompson Ranch community a restful week!
It's time to collect candy!!!
Students can bring bags of candy to their classrooms that will be used for Spooky School! The classrooms with the most candy bags brought will win a pizza party!!
Dysart Annual Canned Food Drive October 20th to October 31st
Dysart Unified School District will be holding their annual canned food drive, October 20th to October 31st. If you'd like to donate please send students with canned food; soup, peanut butter, canned vegetables/fruits, canned meats (tuna/chicken), canned meals, mac n cheese, instant patatoes, stuffing. Your generosity will be appreciated.
