JROTC Cadets

Twenty-seven cadets completed classroom instruction on day one, where they learned the principles of land navigation, map reading, and orienteering.
On day two, cadets applied those skills in a demanding desert environment. Divided into six teams, they were challenged to locate six assigned points within three hours on a course that featured 50 possible points. All six teams successfully completed the mission by finding six of six points, marking a 100 percent team success rate.
Following the course, all participating cadets graduated and were awarded the JCLC Arc and Orienteering Bar.
Additionally, 20 cadets earned promotion to the rank of Cadet Corporal.
The event showcased the Dysart High School JROTC program’s commitment to developing cadets who are disciplined, confident, and prepared to lead.
