Dysart High School SkillsUSA Named Gold Chapter of Distinction
This weakened wrapped up the SkillsUSA Arizona State Leadership and Skills Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.
DHS was designated as a Gold Chapter of Distinction, ranking Dysart as one of the highest-scoring schools in the SkillsUSA Chapter Excellence Program.
Dysart ranked near the top overall and that received a near perfect score.
The highest-scoring schools are sent to SkillsUSA's national office to be reviewed for Models of Excellence.


SkillsUSA Arizona introduced the brand-new Torch Awards. The Torch Awards are given to students who have attended multiple chapter-level and state-level events related to SkillsUSA. Students must meet several requirements for each level to receive the order.
For Tier One: the Ember Award: Jared Wilson and Ma'Laya Jones
For Tier Two: the Flare Award: Alexander Perry, Alexander Pupo, (pictured) and Angel Garcia

Dysart had students compete in several competitions at the State Leadership and Skills Conference, including: Extemporaneous Speaking, Audio Radio Production, American Spirit, Chapter Display, Related Technical Math, and Quiz Bowl.
We had one team of three students win 2nd place for American Spirit: Alexander Perry, Alexander Pupo, and Grace Brennan (pictured).
