Civics Educational Days in September

Throughout September, our students participate in three educational civics days.  On September 11th, students will participate in 9/11 Education Day, where a portion of the school day will be spent remembering 9/11 and honoring our heroes.  On September 17th, our Mavericks will spend time during their ELA or Social Studies class learning about the United States Constitution. The final Civics Day that our Mavericks will participate in will be the Sandra Day O’Connor Civics Celebration Day, taking place on September 25th.  Our students will spend time completing civics activities and lessons.  There is a lot of learning ahead, and our Mavericks are ready for it!
