Attendance

Students are expected to be in school everyday. School is open at 8:40 a.m. for students to eat breakfast in the cafeteria or head directly to class for soft start. School starts at 9:00 a.m. and students should be in their seats by then, ready to learn. There is too much at stake for students to be tardy or missing a lot of days of school. We are committed to helping them improve their academic skills. If they are not in school, they are missing important instruction. 

Please help us increase student success by bringing your child to school on time, everyday.  Per Arizona School Attendance Law students are allowed 18 days of absence, excused or unexcused. Please make sure all appointments are made after school hours if possible.  All absences must be called into the RGES Attendance line at 623-523-8503. Per the Arizona Department of Education the only excused absence reasons are:

Bereavement

Family Emergency

Illness

Medical Appointment

Vacation

Per policy, students will not be called out of class after 3:30 p.m. (Tuesday—Fridays) and 1:30 p.m. (Mondays).
