Weekly Updates 9/5/23

Dear Asante Families- 

 We hope that this Labor Day weekend was filled with memories for you and your family! It is hard to believe that we are into our second month of school already.  Midterms have just passed for first quarter, so make sure you check the Parent Portal to see the update on your child’s grades. We appreciate your continued conversations and focus on attendance, personal best, and goals with your students.  Here are the important updates for the week:  

• Tuesday this week is House Color Day and Friday is Asante Spirit Day so wear your spirit shirts or black and gold! 
• Cross Country is beginning for grades 3-8.  Students were able to pick up forms in the front office and turn them in to Coach Lon and Coach Card for this year.   
•  Save the Date for Thursday, September 21st from 5:00 to 6:30 for our Annual Literacy Night. There will be activities, make and takes, literacy games,  the Maricopa Library for library card sign-up, our PTO, food trucks and more! 

Thank you for everyone for following the pick up and drop off by following the procedures of using the appropriate crosswalks and walking your students through the crosswalk.  We appreciate your partnership for the safely of all students.  If your child will be out,  please call the attendance line 623-523-8900 and press 1.Please make sure to leave the student name, grade and the reason for the absence.
