Freedom Traditional Academy Open House

Attend our open house and allow us to the opportunity to share why Freedom Traditional Academy is the premier school of choice in Surprise and the 8th ranked school in the state of Arizona! Freedom is also the only traditional academy in Surprise with free, full-day kindergarten.

The open house includes guided tours (including a Q&A with the principal, parent and student panel), Freedom overview, student activities, gifted and ESS services, and an opportunity to meet the teachers.Information about the Parent Teacher Association and Before and After Care (Den’s Club) will also be available as well.

Freedom Traditional Academy (FTA) is a kindergarten through 8th grade “school of choice” where the learning is accelerated and the instruction is back to basics.

Freedom Traditional Academy’s language arts program is based on the Spalding Method using The Writing Road to Reading. In addition, Spanish will be offered to all K-8 students. 7th and 8th grade students will have the opportunity to receive high school credit in Spanish. All students will work one year above grade level in Saxon-like math. 8th grade students will have the opportunity to receive high school credit in Spanish and Math.

FTA has a uniform policy and emphasizes patriotism and citizenship. Additionally, there are high expectations that grades, behavior, and attendance be maintained.
