On behalf of Luke Elementary, an A-rated school in the Dysart Unified School District, we thank you for you and your families service to our country and welcome you to Luke Air Force Base.
We are honored to serve the children of your family. This webpage provides links to resources that may prove useful in making the transition into our community easy. As one of the approximately two million military-connected children in America, your student will join the 15,000 school-age children of active-duty families here in Arizona. Whether this Permanent Change of Service makes Glendale or the surrounding areas your home post of if you're deployed and sending your children to our school, we are proud to help make your time with us as rewarding and enriching as possible.

Touring LUke
Please don't hesitate to schedule your tour of Luke Elementary School. It would be our pleasure to show you and/or your child(ren) and family around, and help acclimate you to the school and familiarize you with the Jet family. Tours are offered on Mondays between 2:15pm - 4:30pm or Tuesdays-Fridays between 8:00am - 8:30am. Please contact our front office at 623-876-7300 or email luke@dysart.org to set up a tour.
Communications
Each homeroom teacher sends out a weekly update to parents detailing the upcoming learning, schoolwide news and events. Each month, a parent newsletter is also sent out to parents and guardians. Luke has a robust social media presence, please follow us @lukejets on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter

Luke Elementary is directly connected to Luke Air Force Base with a Base Gate that is opened for students during arrival and dismissal by Military Police. Our enrollment is based on residency and the home school for children who live on the main Luke Air Force Base.
Starting at Luke
We are proud to host a Student2Student Ambassador Program. Students in 5th-8th Grade can elect to take our Student2Student Elective Class in which students are trained to be leaders at Luke. Our Ambassadors are currently paired with classes to support new students transition to Luke, host a monthly Military Kid Connect Luncheon and volunteer throughout the year at a variety of school-sponsored events.

Veterans Day Assembly
We host an annual Veterans Day Assembly honoring our United States Military and invite our Parents, Guardians and Family members to Luke Elementary to enjoy the assembly and breakfast

Purple Up
Each year we celebrate the Month of the Military Child in April. Annual events include door decorating, special visits from Luke Air Force Base Leadership & Servicemen, Purple Up Spirit Days and more!
Deployment Room
We are honored to house a Deployment Room on campus. Our Military & Family Life Counselor and our Luke Air Force Base School Liaison host month Deployment Gatherings where students who have family members who have an upcoming TDY or Deployment, are currently in the middle of a TDY or Deployment or are just finishing one gather together. The Deployment Room also houses a variety of resources for our military connected students at Luke.
