8th Grade Promotion

Please review the following requirements for students to participate in 8th grade promotion. 


Fees—In order to participate in the promotion, all student account balances must be paid prior to the promotion. Student fees can be paid online through the Parent Portal. This includes lost library books, Chromebook/charger loss or damage, etc.


Grade Requirements—Students must pass all classes on the course grade (average of all four quarters) in the promotion celebration on May 22nd. Passing is defined as a D or higher. 


Practice - Students are required to attend school during promotion practice to participate in promotion on the last day of school.


Dress Code- The dress code, as outlined in the Student Handbook, is required.  Students should plan to dress nicely for the occasion. No shorts, flip-flops, spaghetti straps, strapless shirts or dresses, hats, etc. will be permitted. 


Tickets- Each participating student will be given 4 promotion tickets. Families can request extra tickets through the online form that will be shared out in the Spring of 2025. 


Celebration Items- Balloons and air horns are not permitted at the promotion ceremony. 


Parking Capacity—Parking spaces are limited. During the ceremony, families are encouraged to walk, carpool, or park in the neighborhood. 8th-grade students will be excused to leave with their families after the promotion ceremony and will not remain on campus.
