Please review the following requirements for students to participate in 8th grade promotion. 


Fees—To participate in the promotion, all student account balances must be paid before the promotion. Student fees can be paid online through the Parent Portal. This includes lost library books, Chromebook/charger loss or damage, etc.


Grade Requirements—Students must pass all classes in the course grade (average of all four quarters) in order to participate in the promotion celebration. Passing is defined as a D or higher. 


Behavior Requirements- Students are expected to have their behavior align with the Student Code of Conduct outlined in the Student Handbook. Major behavior infractions may result in a student not being able to participate in the promotion ceremony or other promotion celebrations. 


Practice - Students are required to attend school during promotion practice to participate in promotion on the last day of school.


Dress Code- The dress code, as outlined in the Student Handbook, is required.  Students should plan to dress nicely for the occasion. No shorts, flip-flops, spaghetti straps, strapless shirts or dresses, hats, etc. will be permitted. 


Tickets- No tickets are required to attend.


Celebration Items- Balloons and air horns are not permitted at the promotion ceremony.
