4th Grade Math Strategies

Students in 4th grade are currently learning how to multiply 2-, 3-, and 4-digit numbers by 1-digit and 2-by-2-digit numbers using a variety of strategies.  They are learning to use base-10 blocks, repeated addition, area model, partial products, and the standard algorithm to find the product and then ultimately choosing which strategy works best for them.  Students are also being the expert by teaching their classmates how to solve these multiplication problems and finding errors in other students' problems to achieve success!
