Read Across America Week

West Point has a fun week planned for Read Across America Week, which includes special guest readers, spirit week, and a family Literacy Night.

Monday- Spirit Day Theme- Fox in Sox- Wear Crazy Socks

Tuesday- Spirit Day Theme- Oh the Places You’ll Go- Wear a shirt of a place you’ve visited

Wednesday- Spirit Day Theme- Wacky Wednesday- Wear a “wacky” or mismatched outfit

Thursday- Spirit Day Theme- Dr. Seuss Day- All Things Dr. Seuss & Family Literacy Night from 6-8 PM

Friday- Spirit Day Theme- Favorite Book Character & Drop Everything and Read -bring your favorite book to read

Family Literacy Night-Thursday, March 6th

Please join us on Thursday, March 6th, from 6-8 PM for Reading Under the Stars. Families will attend three rotations, including literacy activities, a presentation by a former NASA Astronaut trainer, and a presentation by the West Valley Astronomy Club. We’ll end the evening outside, stargazing with the astronomy club's telescopes and reading Under the Stars. Bring a blanket and a book.

Girls Soccer Tryouts Extended to 5th Grade

The girls' soccer team is extending tryouts to 5th graders. Any 5th-8th grade girl can attend tryouts on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-5:30 PM. Students interested in trying out MUST register at RegisterMyAthlete.com.

Dysart Festival of the Arts

The BIGGEST arts event of the year is on Saturday! Mark your calendars for March 8th from 10-3 PM at Valley Vista High School as students from across our great district sing, dance, play, create, paint, and so much more! Learn more at www.dysart.org/artsfest Admission is Free!
